Hey there! Just thought I would update and let our Canton customers know that we have changed booth spaces. We will now be about 5 spaces down from our normal location in the breezeway at Trade Center 4.
We enjoyed our month on from Canton to enjoy our families over the holidays. We look forward to our return on February 4th!

I've added many new items in the last few days - 4" ring bows, 5.5" ring bows, clippies, sequined headbands, just to name a few. I will continue to get more and more of our products added to the website over the next few weeks.
If you haven't checked out the store lately, you should click right >>here<< and do so! I know it doesn't have quite the inventory we carry in Canton, but it's getting close!!
I appreciate all of you that braved the heat and came on out this past weekend. I hope each of you had a great holiday.
We did get in our Halloween items last week and had them at Canton. How cute are these?
You should also check out the other princess inspired clippies that I added! They would make great party favors for your next dress-up party! Or, how about adding one of our bows as a present topper? Always great to spend money on something that you know will get used!
I also wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who stopped by from Kelly's Korner. We had such a tremendous response and I hope all of you enjoy your purchases!

I finally got some of our new products added. Many of you saw them this past weekend in Canton, I've just been slow getting them added to the online store.
We got a new flower variety. It is a 3.5" daisy and I have it in 14 different colors. Many of these daisies have a colored center stone, unlike the other daisies we've had in the past. The best part of this flower, its $1.50!!! We will also be adding the larger version of this daisy pretty soon! Here's a peek .. click on the picture to go see all of the available colors (I'm missing the light purple and orange pictures for some reason, I'll get them added soon.)
I also added 3 new bow styles as well as the 6.5" ABC bow in zebra print! Here they are ..
This one is the first printed ribbon bow in this style that we have. I hope to add polka dots and other prints in the future. It is $3.00.
I'm super excited about these! Isn't it cute? I am looking forward to having many more of these made in different color combinations. I have never seen another bow like this for under $8, so I'm very happy to say you can buy them for $2!!!
This is another twist on a simple style. It is just an 8 loop bow, with four loops of ribbon on each side. I think this will become a staple style as we get more colors of these. It is also a $2 bow.
Lastly, we have another addition to the $1 bow collection. It is simple and flat, but looks super cute in pigtails or holding a side-swept bang back.
Another great feature of the new bows I've mentioned above is that two of them have flat centers and can be stacked easily to create more unique looks!
Thanks to everyone who came out this past weekend. You were very brave souls!!! The heat was scorching, but we had a blast as always. I think we cheated a bit this weekend with our "breakroom" as we kept calling it.
This PVC, clear shower curtain, encapsulated room housed an air conditioner that kept it at a chilly 68ish degrees. Can't beat that in 100 degree, sauna intensified, Texas heat can you? However, I do believe it might have moved us in to the #1 spot of >>this<< list created last year!
Have a great week, y'all!!

I keep forgetting to mention that I will be setup with all my stuff at Children's University on Saturday from 9:00 until 1:00.
CU is located at 4621 Park Springs in Arlington. They are just south of I-20 on Park Springs.
This is a small event, so if you're in the area come on by!

What a productive weekend I had! I am so excited that I have completed the work for the online store and am now trying to decide on an opening date. I had originally targeted April 1st, but I'm thinking that will change. The first products that will be offered on the website are the corkers and pony-o's, all styles. I will slowly add to the them as my inventory allows.
I am preparing for another weekend in Canton. It is my 9th month and I love every minute of it! Well, except for tearing the display down on Sundays, which takes about an hour. So, other than that it is a lot of fun. I was hoping to have weather like today, but it looks like we'll be freezing again this month. Oh well, it is sooooo much better than sweating all weekend.
As for new items, I've got a lot of great stuff ordered that should arrive in the next few weeks. This is the start of my BASICS line. It will be the second addition to the store. The BASICS are going to be targeted for my wholesale customers. They will be sold in increments of 4 and intended for resale. Now, that doesn't mean you and a friend can't team up and place a joint order. More details will be available soon.
Hope y'all had a great weekend!!
P.S. - please note that the blog is no longer viewable by going to www.polkadotposies.com you have to use www.polkadotposies.typepad.com. I had to change things up for the store.

I have added a local show to my lineup. It's out in Mansfield, which is only a few minutes from my house. I figured this would be another opportunity to meet some of y'all. I continue to get requests for more opportunities to buy my products, so hopefully this will be another stop on the way. The online store is on the horizon, just not yet. I have lots of experience with online business, I just want to perfect this methodology a little more before I go down that route again. Lastly, I'll have some samples of new products by the end of the week. I'm super excited to get them. Great things in store for Polkadot Posies. Stay tuned!
If you haven't checked out the twitter page, do it! >> here <<I'm getting the hang of it!

So hard to believe that 2009 is about to come to an end. It has gone by so fast. I've watching my 2 kids get bigger. My three year old now talks in complete sentences, uses big words, and argues with me. My 15 month old is now throwing tantrums, thinking about walking (one day), and eating more than the 3 year old. My stamp business started in January and quickly took second chair to bows and now it no longer exists, Polkadot Posies is all about bows.
I am thankful for all that I have been blessed with this year. My kids health, prosperity of bows, and a loving husband. My life really cannot be more complete. I am so happy with where I am and look so forward to the future.
What's coming up - Canton is just over a week away. We will now have two spaces, so no more cramming into our little booth. I am looking forward to the extra space, but will sadly miss my friend Carrie at Whimsies & Wonders. She was so much fun to chat with all weekend. We have a great new shipment of corkers that arrived last week. They are so much fun!! Plus, we have plenty of everything else (hats, bows, clippies). Also, I have a big giveaway that will be starting Christmas day, so stay tuned for it. You won't want to miss it.
I leave this post with our Christmas card. Happy holidays everyone!

Well I'm just in sit and wait mode. I have all of the Gerber daisies arriving on Wednesday. I've been out of stock for a couple of months on these. I have replenished all the 1.5" headbands in all colors. And, I have these awesome new glitter clippies that arrived this week. I have them in 16 colors versus the original 10. Canton 7.0 is less than 2 weeks away. I can't wait. Also, December 12 the store in Arlington will be open to the public. Have a great weekend!
